App Crashing on TV Devices
Having trouble with Dreamsquare on your Smart TV or streaming device? Here's how to get back to watching.
General steps (all devices)
- Close and reopen the app — Navigate to your device's app switcher and force close Dreamsquare, then relaunch.
- Restart your device — Unplug the device, wait 30 seconds, and plug it back in.
- Check for app updates — Open your device's app store and check if a Dreamsquare update is available.
- Check for system updates — Make sure your TV or streaming device is running the latest firmware.
Device-specific tips
Apple TV
- Double-press the TV button, swipe up on Dreamsquare to close, then reopen.
- Go to Settings > System > Software Updates to check for tvOS updates.
Amazon Fire TV
- Go to Settings > Applications > Manage Installed Applications > Dreamsquare > Force Stop, then reopen.
- Select Clear Cache on the same screen if the issue persists.
Samsung Smart TV
- Press and hold the Power button on the remote for 10 seconds to perform a cold restart.
- Go to Settings > Support > Software Update to check for firmware updates.
Android TV / Google TV
- Go to Settings > Apps > Dreamsquare > Force Stop and Clear Cache.
